Products and finishes

One process. The finish is the choice.

Every product starts as compression-molded acrylic with raised tactile characters and domed Grade 2 braille in the face. What changes is how that face is finished, or whether your shop finishes it.

Unfinished blanks

Our molding. Your finish.

Clear, white, and black compression-molded blanks. Raised copy and Grade 2 braille are already formed. Your shop paints, prints, or tips, and keeps that margin.

Finished faces

Clear acrylic women’s restroom sign with paint behind the face, a female pictogram, raised letters, and Grade 2 braille.

01

2nd surface paint

Paint goes on the back of the acrylic. The field color is protected behind the face. Raised characters and braille are tipped on the front in a contrasting color. This is the usual finish for room signs and wayfinding.

Specify it when: High-traffic interiors and exteriors where the color should not be the surface people touch.

Room sign with paint on the face, raised contrasting letters, and Grade 2 braille, on a plain background.

02

1st surface paint

Color sits on the face of the sign. It reads sharper and more architectural than a backed color.

Specify it when: Palettes that need the paint itself to be the surface you see.

Men’s restroom sign with a full-color print behind clear acrylic, a male pictogram, raised letters, and Grade 2 braille.

03

2nd surface print

Full-color graphics are printed on the back of the acrylic, so the face protects the print. Use it when a sign needs a brand mark, a photograph, or more than a flat field color.

Specify it when: Donor walls, brand graphics, and color-coded wayfinding.

Solid-color acrylic sign reading Reservable, with raised letters and Grade 2 braille, on a plain background.

04

Solid color

The acrylic is pigmented through the thickness. The color is the material, not a coating on it. Raised characters and braille are formed from that same sheet.

Specify it when: Jobs that want through-body color and no surface film to wear.

Solid-surface stair sign with a stair number, raised letters, and Grade 2 braille, on a plain background.

05

Solid surface

The same heat-and-pressure forming, in architectural solid surface, when the sign should match the surrounding finish.

Specify it when: Hospitality, healthcare, and other interiors already specified in solid surface.

Close view of textile sealed inside a clear acrylic face.

06

Embed

Textile, fabric, or mesh is sealed between layers of acrylic under compression. The embedded material is not a decal. It is closed inside the face. Interior and exterior rated.

Specify it when: Projects whose design language includes cloth, mesh, or a textile texture.

Photoluminescent signs reading Stair, Egress path, and Floor, with raised letters and Grade 2 braille, on a black background.

07

Photoluminescent

A glow finish for stairwells, exit paths, and emergency wayfinding. It charges from ambient light. No wiring. This finish is interior rated. Confirm that on the quote.

Specify it when: Stair and exit identification where a non-electrical glow is specified.

Compression-molded acrylic frame inserts with raised letters and braille, on a plain background.

08

Inserts

Thin compression-molded acrylic inserts sized for common frame systems. The insert is the molded face. The frame is the system it drops into.

Specify it when: Sign programs already built around those frame lines.

Donor recognition plaque with raised lettering, photographed facing the camera on a light background.

Donor and recognition

A name, formed in the face.

Donor walls, gift plaques, and memorials use the same molded acrylic as a room sign. The lettering is the plastic, so the recognition stays put.
